ABIGAIL WHORTONChief Operating Officer
Abigail Whorton graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Journalism, Public Relations in 2014. In the years before joining our team in July 2018, she worked in public relations at a boutique beauty and lifestyle firm in New York, in digital marketing at a global healthcare company in Alpharetta and with web services at The University of West Georgia right here in Carrollton. And if you hadn't guessed, she's the oldest daughter of our agency's Founder, Bill Whorton.
In her two years with the team prior to his passing, she worked closely with her father as both the Marketing & Public Relations Coordinator and a fully licensed Insurance Specialist to best prepare for the future of The Whorton Agency, Inc., which will remain largely unchanged. Our promise of Better Service, Better Value and Better Choice remains the same. For now and for years to come, she and our entire team will continue to honor his legacy with the work that we do for you, our clients. On a lighter note, she has a mild obsession with her Chihuahuas, Roo and Whisky, reads all the books she can, travels as often as her time and wallet allow, and loves any opportunity to make a difference, big or small, in the lives around her. She is the Carrollton Dawnbreakers Rotary Club Public Image Co-Chair and volunteers with Partners Advancing Student Success, locally. She was named the PASS Volunteer of the Year in 2023, the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia (IIAG) 2023 Young Agent of the Year and is a member of the Leadership Georgia Class of 2024. |
